Ever had one of those days when you can’t get enough bacon? Well, you are in luck! Today is National Bacon Day, and to celebrate, I found 13 incredibly tasty bacon recipes for you! Of course, with bacon, it can’t help but be tasty now can it?
Bacon has been around for a while. It is one of the oldest processed meats in history, dating back as early as 1500 BC. And it is a huge favorite in the United States. More than 2 billion pounds of bacon are produced in the US each year!
For those of you with a bacon craving, I found some awesome recipes for you. But first, I can’t start off a bacon post without a little bit of Maple Bacon dog. Enjoy!

The best way to cook bacon?
- Leave at least 1 inch between each strip when cooking. This will result in crisp bacon rather than limp bacon.
- For more even cooking, use the oven. Set strips on wire rack or a baking sheet and bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
- Bacon can burn quickly so always keep a close eye on it while cooking.
- Never pour your leftover grease down the drain! You will totally clog it! Instead let it cool and pour into a jar, then toss.
- Use cold bacon and a cold pan to reduce spattering.
